My Natural “Clean Routine”

Lets take a minute and start this post by imagining the following scenario: You are a dedicated exerciser, you fill your plate up with healthy, vibrant, whole foods, you drink lots of water and also try you hardest to sleep well. This sounds pretty amazing, right? What I have to say to anyone striving for this right now, (we don’t have to have it together all the time, the effort is enough! don’t stress) is that I am so incredibly proud of your efforts! You rock, and in order to help you rock even more, I want to introduce one more aspect of healthy living that is often overlooked: cosmetics and skincare/haircare items. If you’re putting in the time and energy to ensure that you are fueling your body well, it only makes sense that you would want to protect those efforts by ensuring you are not counter-attacking it by using chemical-laden, toxic products on your face, skin, hair and body. It is alarming just how many of these harmful ingredients are commonly used in every day “beauty rituals”, and I want it to stop! The companies that allow for disease-causing chemicals to be used in their products need to be stopped, as it is seriously harming society. If we choose not to invest in these “big guys”, we stop giving them power, and in turn support companies that are devoted to ensuring the health of us, and our planet. Today I will share some of my go-to products for my daily “clean routine” in hopes to inspire you to become informed!

Post-Makeup:

  • Coconut Oil: See above. I use this to remove my eye makeup.
  • Scentuals Soap: See above. Used to wash my face along with my sponge.
  • Ecotools Sponge. See above.

Randoms:

  • EO Organic Hand Sanitizing Spray: This only uses pure, simple, organic ingredients, such as purified water, lavender oil, echinacea extract and ethanol (all organic). No harmful substances here, and it gets the job done!

Obviously, I strive to use only the purest, cleanest products on my body, and I’ve found that the above are (for the most part) affordable for daily use, as well as being as eco-friendly and clean as possible. That being said, some products aren’t perfect, but neither are we! Eliminating as many chemicals as possible is an amazing start, and I am continually learning what products to use, and which ones to avoid. As long as you start making simple swaps, you’re making an effort, and that is what counts towards your health in the long run! I hope that you will take the time to click on the click-through links alongside the different products I use and research them yourselves! I’d also love to talk natural brands with you guys in the comments!

Wishing you above all Health and Happiness
